This post is all about gorgeous Christmas tree decorating ideas!
Ah the holiday season is upon us once again! One of my favorite parts is getting to walk through a Christmas tree farm with my family, and searching for the perfect Christmas tree to adorn the living room.
It’s so fun to pull out all the ornaments every year and reminisce on past Christmases, and take time to carefully decorate the tree together. In this post, I will show you 17 gorgeous Christmas tree ideas to recreate that will make your home cozy for the Christmas season!

17 Stunning Christmas Tree Ideas
1. Beautiful bows
This moody Christmas tree scape is characterized by the gorgeous bows that act as ornaments.
This tree utilizes a simple color scheme of metallic, white stripes, copper and burlap which create just enough variance of texture on the tree.
I also love the decision to place the tree on top of a traditional oriental rug that subtly brings in the classic Christmas red, against the green needles of the tree.
2. Baby tree in a basket
If you live on your own and don’t exactly have the strength to put up a full-sized tree yourself, you might opt for a slightly smaller tree like this one!
This could also be the perfect option if you want to save space in your living room but still make it feel Christmas-y!
3. Christmas blooms
Since the traditional decor of a Christmas tree has always been with ornaments, I never even considered how gorgeous flowers would look in their place!
The golden flowers are shimmery and look stunning combined with the sheer red ribbon garland!
4. Snowy tree
If you prefer a more natural looking Christmas tree, consider decorating your tree with faux snow instead!
It reminds me of that children’s Christmas tree book, and would be so fun to decorate with fake birds and berries and pine cones too!
5. Orange slices, pine cones and white ribbons
This Christmas tree is SO stunning and unique to other Christmas tree styles I’ve seen before.
I love the approach of using ribbon bows, pinecones and orange slices in place of traditional ornaments because they look so gorgeous against the evergreen!
6. Icicles
When we were kids, we had this one super pretty, glittery glass icicle ornament that we all fought over every year.
Now I’ve found a tree covered in them and gotten to experience the beauty of a total icicle tree!
7. Dashing through the snow
This sort of thing may work better for a faux tree that weighs a little less than a real tree…but oh my gosh, look at how cool this tree stand is!
I love the idea of hiding the actual tree stand in something like a basket, and placing it on top of a wooden sled.
It gives the small tree a little more height, and provides the perfect place to place trees in front of!
8. Cuddly polar bears
Sometimes I feel like polar bears and penguins should have more of a place in Christmas decorations.
They are natives of the North Pole after all!
9. Red bows, gold ornaments and lights
Ok, yes, this tree is a little grandiose for most of our living rooms, but I just had to include it because of all the red bows!
We normally decorate with red bows along the porch fence but I’ve never considered how pretty they look against the green pine needles!
10. Cuddly owls
This may just be my favorite tree on the whole list.
These owls are just to die for an sooo cute!
I love the woodland vibe from the pine cones, to the twiggy tree topper and the lightly whitened tree branches!
11. Blue plaid
Although blue isn’t considered a typical Christmas color, I love how the blue plaid gives this Christmas tree a unique touch!
It feels rustic and homey!
12. Orange tree
Here’s another example of a Christmas orange tree, but this time with orange garland instead!
13. White Christmas
I’m dreaming of a whiiiiite Christmas…It’s so rare that we get to experience a white Christmas these days. So why not create a white Christmas inside your house?
14. Candy canes
Ok, honestly, this one’s a bit much for my tastes, but if your favorite part about Christmas is candy canes and lollipops, then I’ve found the tree for you.
15. Silver and gold
Simple, pretty, and full of bows! This tree has effortless beauty and I absolutely love the white carpet and sleigh under the tree to collect gifts!
16. Black and white stripes
I think this Christmas tree is super chic and creative. From the black and white garland, to the way it’s wrapped around the tree…and of course we can’t forget the cute wooden signs!
17. Burlap tree
We wrap our Christmas tree with burlap pretty much every year! I love the rustic look it gives our living room and how it looks against the green pine needles.
